This pretty Thousand Oaks Engagement Session, in the most magical golden fields, is sure to bring a smile to your face. This is Southern California at its finest. The hills match the luminous light and it really just doesn’t get much better! Desiree and Carlos are the sweetest duo around and I was lucky enough to work with them twice; for their engagement session and their beautiful Los Angeles Wedding at The Palihouse Hotel. We had so much fun bringing this session to life and they were totally down to hike around in the fields of tall grass with me to get the photos we all envisioned.
Before their session, we bounced around ideas on what they should wear and I think we really came up with something that looked fashionable, yet timeless. Desiree’s dress was from the WHOWHATWEAR collection at Target (and my wife loved it so much she went and bought it after seeing this session!) and Carlos looked awesome in a navy sport coat and more casual pants.
The shot above is one of my most favorites to date. I just love the way Carlos is leading Desiree through the fields. Oftentimes during engagement sessions with me we begin by having you walk together, which not only helps the both of you ease your nerves and get comfortable but I always love those movement shots, so the end result is usually really perfect!
